In general, lace frontals are hair pieces that are bonded by hair glue or sewn into wigs or bundles to create a natural-looking hairline that stretches from ear to ear. They are often made of lace and can come in different sizes, such as 13x4 inches or 13x6 inches.

Like a lace front wig, a lace frontal piece has a realistic hairline which is meant to mimic hair growing from the scalp. When bonded or sewn in along the hairline correctly, they achieve just this affect.

Lace frontals cover a larger area than a closure as they will have a temple to temple hairline. 

They differ from closures because they are temple to temple and allow for many types of hairstyles that are not possible with a 5x5 lace closure.
